CLOSED CAMPUS

Once students arrive on the school grounds, they must remain on campus and stay within the boundaries of the classroom buildings.  Students should park their vehicles in the student parking lot, proceed onto campus, and not loiter around the cars.  The following areas are OFF LIMITS to students.

1. Faculty Parking Lot

4. All classrooms at lunch unless prior permission has been granted by a teacher or administrator.

5. Student Parking Lot except:  Before/after school or beginning/after lunch.

NO STUDENT WILL BE PERMITTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS AT ANY TIME WITHOUT PERMISSION.  California State Law prohibits pupils from leaving the school premises before the regular hour for closing school, unless they have first obtained written approval from an administrator, the Attendance Office or Health Office.

PASSES

Students must carry their ID card at all times.  Written hall passes are always required during class time.  Students without hall passes/and or ID card will be assigned detention or Saturday School.

SEARCH AND SEIZURE

To maintain order on the school premises it may be necessary at times to conduct searches of vehicles or to require students to submit to searches for weapons, drugs, or contraband.  At any given time, the El Monte Police K-9 unit may be brought in to conduct random searches.
